A Kershaw Consulting Blog

In this blog, we’re continuing the idea of creating a space dedicated to sharing invaluable insights drawn from lessons learned and borrowed experiences.  Here, we aim to highlight our services while also inspiring you to take even the smallest steps toward enhancing and transforming your projects or business.

A Client Brief provides the vital link between the client and its appointed agents, designers, consultants, and supply chain partners, helping to ensure the successful delivery of agreed project outcomes and objectives.  It defines the project’s vision, purpose, scope, desired outcomes, and aspirations, aligning expectations while helping to control costs and timescales, manage risks, and realise opportunities.

By clearly defining what success means to the client — in value, reputation, functionality, quality, time, cost, health and safety, sustainability, and environmental, social and governance (ESG) terms — the client and their advisers gain a framework for assessing and aligning decisions, responding effectively to events, and achieving the desired outcomes.  This clarity also enables key risks to be mitigated and opportunities to be identified that can enhance project performance.

Transparency around the client’s value drivers is central to this process.  In simple terms, these are time, cost, quality, health and safety, and ESG.  Establishing their relative importance supports well-informed risk and opportunity decisions, ensuring effective alignment throughout the project and helping to deliver expected outcomes while exceeding project goals.
